I used to work for a trading company in Osaka. When I started to consider finding a job in my hometown, I came across Hikari Kikai Seisakusho. While it was based in Mie, it was doing business globally. I was attracted with the scale of its business and decided to join the company. I am mainly responsible for overseas sales and propose machine tools of our brand to overseas plants. My role covers a wide range of work from serving as a bridge between our company design and assembly groups and our users, overseeing an entire project, to arranging export of machinery, all of which I find very challenging and rewarding.
Our products are backed up with superior technology. However, without a good relation between our sales people and our customers, we cannot receive orders. I voluntarily set a target, “Visit customer sites at least twice a month” and treasure direct contacts with customers. It is the most rewarding moment as a sales representative when I hear a customer say, “I place an order because of Mr. Muneno”.
